A doll can have the face and proportions you want and still be heavier than you would like to handle. SE Doll's LSTPE option addresses that particular tradeoff. The important comparison is the weight of your chosen body with and without the upgrade, rather than the word "lightweight" on its own.
The confirmed starting point
SE describes LSTPE as its STPE construction with a lightweight internal foam core, rather than a new outer material. Its launch information names three supported bodies:
| Body code | Standard listed weight | LSTPE listed weight | Listed reduction |
|---|---|---|---|
| 157H | 41 kg / 90.4 lb | 31 kg / 68.3 lb | 10 kg / 22.0 lb |
| 161F | 35 kg / 77.2 lb | 31.6 kg / 69.7 lb | 3.4 kg / 7.5 lb |
| 163E | 37 kg / 81.6 lb | 26 kg / 57.3 lb | 11 kg / 24.3 lb |
These are the factory's published body-model figures, checked on 16 October 2026, not DollWOW scale measurements or packed shipping weights. Pounds are rounded conversions. SE also allows final weight variation within 5%; confirm the selected head and installed options before using a figure as a handling limit. SE's official LSTPE explanation
Compare the reduction for the body you want
The three examples illustrate why a single headline saving is not enough. The listed reduction for 161F is 3.4 kg, not the 11 kg associated with 163E. If you chose the former expecting the latter's saving, the phrase "up to" would have concealed an important difference.
Start with your preferred proportions. Then compare the two weights for that exact body. A useful note beside your shortlist is simply: body code, listed weight, selected head and the options included in the figure. That makes a comparison easier to revisit than a collection of screenshots with different assumptions.
Also separate handling from delivery. A boxed weight includes packaging and may include accessories. It answers a shipping question, not necessarily what you will move when dressing the doll. Our size and weight guide explains those distinctions.
LSTPE and a silicone head are separate choices
The lightweight body upgrade is not the same selection as changing the head material. SE identifies LSTPE as a paid body option and separately describes supported silicone-head pairings. A silicone head does not make the body full silicone. Check the current customer price for each choice; the factory announcement does not supply a DollWOW retail quote.
For the cross-material pairing, SE currently documents Light Tan matching with selected silicone heads. Do not extend that to every colour or head code. Confirm the exact pairing shown in the configuration before treating the styling in a photograph as your included build. The manufacturer also notes that a shared colour name is not a promise of identical appearance across different materials. Current factory details
That gives you two independent decisions: whether the body-weight saving is worthwhile, and which supported head you prefer. Keep them separate when comparing the final price.
What to look for in the configurator
Use the complete body code, not height alone. Two dolls of similar height can have different proportions and different supported options. Check that the lightweight selection appears for the actual body, then review the head and skin choices attached to that configuration.
Compare the total after making those selections. A starting price without either upgrade is not an equivalent offer to a configured build with both. If a promotion is displayed, use its current dates and terms rather than a saved launch banner.
The same care applies to photos. A campaign picture can help you choose a look, but the option summary is what records the construction you ordered. Save both the look you like and the final configuration.
A practical way to decide
Write down where the doll will be dressed, stored and photographed. Compare the listed weight with the moving and support arrangements you actually have available. Reduced weight is useful, but it does not by itself establish that a particular body will be manageable for every owner.
If you are choosing between materials as well as body sizes, use the TPE versus silicone guide for that broader decision. This upgrade is a more specific question: whether SE's supported STPE body, in its lighter configuration, is the build you want.
